Amethyst Birthstone

     Amethyst, the birthstone of February, is also the anniversary stone of the 6th year of marriage. It ranges in colour from a pale lilac to deep purple and the paler colours are sometimes called "Rose de France" and can be seen set in Victorian Jewelry. It is available in a wide range of calibrated sizes and shapes, including many fancy shapes. Large fine stones may be sold in free sizes but amethyst is generally cut into standard dimensions.
